Asher's DOC Band Story- Part 2

I’m happy to report that our little Ash is a DOC Band Graduate!!

His last day wearing it was January 18th!!  Cranial Technologies was right on with their estimate- he wore the band for just shy of 10 weeks.  Brandon and I are extremely happy with the results.  Looking from the top of his head down is the most dramatic change.  The final report we were recently given is in PDF format.  It has some great before and after pictures.  I wanted to just include the photos here, but no such luck.  Contact me if you'd like to have a further look.
This was one of the last shots with his band on.

Asher- 8 months old

On February 11th Asher turned 8 months old!

Here are some things Ash is up to:
So his blow-up bathtub (without water) has become kind of his “holding area” while we get ready in the morning.  He just plays with toys and talks away.  Yet, he has gotten out of it more than once over the past couple of weeks.  He kind of just slides himself over the side and then doesn’t really know what to do.  It’s pretty funny.  This is probably a sign that we need to come up with a new place for him to hang out. :-)

Asher got a terrible cold and cough at 7 months. He'd cough so hard he'd throw up if he recently ate. It was very scary.  He had a pretty bad choking incident at naptime one day.
First Antibiotic- Amoxicillin Feb 3; He had been sick since January 15 and his cough was still so congested and horrible.  I took him to the doctor 3 times and I knew he wasn’t just going to “get over it.”  Although I would have preferred not to introduce antibiotics this young, we decided to try it and within 36 hours he was like a new kid!  His cough hung on for a little while, but over the week he improved dramatically.

Asher is in all 12-month jammies!
Trying to crawl?  Wishful thinking.
These jammies have a bum-flap.  So cute!!
Favorite Toys- He loves his Vtech sit-to-stand and he loves Little People- especially his airplane.

Lately Ash has been Hap-Hap-Happy!! He gets very excited and shows it all over by moving his arms and legs and giving a big smile!  I will never get enough of it- he brings us so much joy!

He has discovered his tongue and loves to stick it out.
He is starting to show interest in a sippie cup.  I didn’t think he was ready, but he’s started holding it on his own and often gets it to his mouth.  Such a big boy!  Thanks Memaw for the sippie!

I love that Ash gets quality Memaw time and she reads Jesus Calling to him almost every day!

Asher still enjoys Tuesdays with Gma.  I love the way he smiles so big when he sees her!

Dates to remember:
Jan 24th- first trip to the zoo with friends! (And “duh” for mommy- I forgot to take any pictures to commemorate the event.)
Applesauce- Jan 22
Pears- Jan 26
Sweet potatoes- Feb 5
Broccoli- Feb 10

Puffs- Feb 11; we’ve tried them a couple of weeks ago, but wouldn’t quite gnaw on them enough and sometimes choked.  Now he does great with them and seems to really enjoy feeding himself!  Thanks for Gma for giving them another shot!
He also is getting into the pouches.  He clearly has a long way to go though as he wore most of the prunes. :-)

Asher loves to be outside.

His big boy carseat.
So grocery shopping has been interesting since I started taking Ash in the cart.  People keep stopping me and letting me know how adorable he is.  It takes me longer to get my shopping done than it used to- but it's totally worth it!!

Time with Uncle Ryan.  Are you wearing the same shirt??

Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day!
