Maggie- 8 months old

On November 27th, Maggie turned 8 months old!!

Here are some things Miss Maggie is up to:
Maggie is back to sleeping through the night almost every night. Usually 12 hours, then naps 2-3 times a day.

She still loves food, but we had to cut back on stuff as her little system seemed unhappy. 

She’s using her voice more and more, although not saying words.  (No mama or dada yet.)

Maggie scoots around a little bit on her tummy, but no crawling yet.

She is a mama’s girl through and through!! And I have to admit, I can't get enough of this little girl.

Maggie is still mesmerized by Asher.  He gets her attention more than anyone.

She’s doing better at church daycare. Which gives mama a nice break.

Little Mags has moved to a new bathtub! She’s using the blow up one Asher used and she loves that she can sit, kick her feet and splash!  She really does like her bath.

She got her first tooth!! November 17^th.  It’s the bottom front right. I still have get to get a picture.

Maggie is sitting up.  And she loves it!  She went from being really wobbly, to really sturdy in a matter of a day. Big girl!

She's wearing size 3 diapers, size 6 and 6-9 month clothes and 9 month jammies!

Maggie- 7 months old

On October 27th, Maggie turned 7 months old!!

Here are some things Mags is up to:
We are all about food over here!  She seems to really enjoy it!  She's tried banana (her first food), sweet potato, quinoa, avocado, and peas.  And I've seen her really take notice to what everyone else is eating.  Hang in there baby girl!!

Maggie still loves to really look at and examine things.  Especially people's faces.  She puts her hands on your face, looks, and then often talks in her sweet sounds to you.
Mags is still super fascinated by Asher and all he does.  He will often sing her a song that he makes up.  It's so adorable!
She is all about her feet and toes.  Even puts her toes in her mouth-  lol something only suitable for a baby!!
I've seen Maggie suck her thumb a few times.  I'm interested to see if this becomes her thing.
We are still working on sitting up.  She does well sometimes, but is still super wobbly.

She moves all over in her crib.  I see her pull her legs up under her and scoot a bit, but she's a ways away from crawling at this point.  Fine by me!!
Maggie has moved up to size 3 diapers and is wearing 6 and some 6-9 month clothes. Still my little peanut!

Got into the fall spirit with big brother.

 Had her first experience riding in the cart like a big girl!!

Maggie had a lot of fun on Halloween.

Maggie- 6 months old

On September 27th, Maggie turned 6 months old!!

I can't even believe it! My sweet baby girl is 1/2 a year old!!  I've heard that the months really do fly by once you have a second + child, and it is so true.
Here are some things little Maggie is up to:

She is always reaching for things. And then promptly bringing them to her mouth.

Maggie intently watches us eat. This girl is going to be ready to try food!! I did wait until 6 months with her.  With Asher I started at 5 with rice cereal.  He didn't like it, and I guess the doctors are advising to wait until 6 months now, so I'm doing that and will start with veggies.

She is averaging an 8 hour stretch with about 12 hours total at night.  Praise the Lord!! She is also still a rock star napper.  I'm so glad I started her on a schedule. 

Maggie wants to sit up in the middle of nursing. And lots of other times. She wants to sit up period! She contracts her little core- it's so cute!  Yet, we practice sitting up and she's still very wobbly.

Loves rolling around and she's really good at it!  I definitely can't just put her down and have her stay put anymore.

Maggie sucks on any part of her hand; and will suck on yours if you are around.  She loves chewing on her paci and any other rubbery type toy like Sophie.  Her mouth seems to really bother her now.  She often sucks in her bottom lip, too.  Poor girl- teething is full swing!!

She loves having her hands kissed and she loves talking. We have 2 noisy kids!!

Brother still makes her laugh most of all. 

She has the cutest chunky wrists, hands and thighs!!  Although she's small overall, she's got some serious rolls!!

Maggie is just so full of joy!!  Her little personality has just stolen my heart!

Daddy is still adjusting to carting around 2 kids..LOL!!

Summer New Stuff for Asher

Asher had some new "firsts" this summer!  Yes, I realize it's a bit late in posting...
Daddy and Asher started a new tradition of attending the Harkins Summer Movies.  They had so much fun and I'm so glad they got to share it together!  Anyone who knows Brandon knows he is a huge movie buff, so this was right up his alley.

For the first time, our church added preschool to their VBX program.  We felt lucky to be a part of things!  Asher just made it being 3 and (newly) potty trained.  Yes!!  He had so much fun and keeps asking about when he'll go back.

 Nolan also went to VBX, so they had some good cousin time!

Finally, Ash went to a summer camp program at a local preschool- Best Pals.  It was so cute and he had a great time!  He attended 2 times a week for June and July.  They had a different theme each week of what they learned.  Asher just loves to learn- I hope he always does!
He also asks when he will go back to school.  Soon enough sweet boy!!

Maggie- 5 months old

On August 27th, Maggie turned 5 months old!!

Here are some things "Mag Mag" (as brother calls her) is up to:
Maggie hit a major sleep regression!! This has been pretty rough. She's up every 3 or so hours most nights.  I read that this is right in line with what's "normal" for this age.  Hope it passes soon!! (And as I write this, it does seem to be passing as she slept though the night last night!)
I'm finally getting her on a schedule.  I realize now that I really never did this with Ash.  She is a rockstar napper sleeping 3-4 times a day!!  She's also in such a good mood when she's awake.
She's started rolling over in her crib.  Super cute but it startles her a bit and causes her to really wake up.
Maggie likes grabbing at toys now.  Sophie the giraffe seems to be a favorite.
She'll reach out and touch us intentionally.  I love when she reaches for my face- so cute!!

She loves to smile and laugh at people and things.

Maggie is really enjoying the activity mat and jumpie.  She can reach some toys now and also likes looking in the little mirror.

She is in size 2 diapers and size 3-6 and 6 month clothes. Still a little peanut but growing and growing!
My Aunt Fay and Uncle Jim came from California to visit and meet Miss Maggie for the first time!  Such a great time with family!!  She took quite a liking to them.

Asher so likes spending time with Maggie.  He even shares his favorite toy "Ah-Ah" with her on occasion.  It's usually followed by him grabbing him out of her hands, but we'll take the sweet times.

She still loves her tongue and it's often out and about.
